PERSONAL STRENGTHS, CONVICTIONS, AND PASSIONS

  • In master classes as well as special moduls, I teach literature from all eras and styles involving solo and duo piano literature. My particular love lies with the Impressionists, the Spanish, the Americans, Les Six, Scriabin, the Romantics, Paris of the 1920s, South Americans. The focus of my work is sound production on the basis of body movement and imagination.
  • Of great importance to me is the examination of stylistic problems, the analysis and understanding of interpretation in the historical context, and encouragement of the student to reflect on his own playing and to develop his personal message.
